Certification Workshop

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce (“JMCAACC”) in partnerships with Lane College and the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce is hosting certification workshop to prepare minority businesses to take advantage of contracting and entrepreneurial opportunities as a result of the Blue Oval City project. This event will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM in the Kirkendoll Building on the campus of Lane College, 545 Lane Avenue Jackson TN 38301.

As the resource for African American business owners, partnerships and corporations in Rural West Tennessee, our objective is to help new and existing businesses reach their potential by using our resources to connect them with major corporations, community leaders, and other business owners so that they learn, grow and network for greater economic development and success. The strength of our businesses determines the strength of our communities and families.

Gwen Sanders, diversity business liaison, from the governor’s Office of Diversity will be present along with her staff to work with minority business owners in a one-on-one setting to assist you in the application process for your necessary certification. Minority business owners must be certified to be eligible for contracting opportunities at Blue Oval City. Registration for this event can be found on Eventbrite.com. Once you are registered you will receive an email from the JMCAACC with a list of documents you will need to bring with you including your laptop or tablet. WiFi service will be available.

This free event is open to the public including member businesses and non-member businesses if JMCAACC. For more information, call 731.424.2030 or 731.506.8219. Emails can be sent to jacksonmcaacc@gmail.com.
